Styles for Young Professionals! (and teachers!)

17 Aug

For some of us, putting together a casual everyday outfit is a cinch.  We know where to find a good pair of jeans, we know how to match them with a cool top, add a few accessories and BOOM! we’re out the door.  However, I remember a time in college when I began my internships and found myself in a more corporate setting… and those jeans weren’t cutting it in that world.

Becoming a young professional was more than just being at work on time and getting the job done efficiently. I had to LOOK professional, too.  So, for those of you about to hit the professional world, whether it’s an internship for school, job interviews, start a career, or even just getting older and wanting to dress differently, I’ve found a few great choices, for both men and women, that will have you knocking down that professional door!

And remember: You don’t need to spend a million bucks to look like a million bucks!

Belk  is a great spot to look for dress shirts and ties.  They even go as far as to pair them up for you, taking all the guesswork out!
I love The Calvin Klein selection and especially the Nautica Selection.
The blue and white stripe tie with the white collar button down looks super clean.  I love that style on any guy!

Speaking of ties, Belk is almost always running a sale on ties.  And the selection is endless…from solid print to paisley, to stripes and checkers..whatever your style, it’s here!

Looking for a great fitting suit, or maybe just a nice blazer?
Be sure to stop in at Express.
I mean look at this mannequin, so well put together!

And not to mention, Express is always running a great sale on the 1MX Shirts.
Mix and match, Buy 1 Get 1 for 50% OFF!
They even have a slim fit option to insure the perfect fit every time.

Now, for the ladies!
Definitely head over to FOREVER 21! The styles and prices can’t be beat.
Forever 21 has an insane variety of blazers right now, and they’re super cutting edge, fashionable and fun.  It’ll make heading out for work a lot more enjoyable!
For instance, this black and white stripe blazer is AMAZING!

The Striped Woven Blazer ONLY $24.80!
Features a notched collar, single button closure and mock flap pockets.

Stripes aren’t your thing?
How bout a Cropped Buttoned Shawl Collar Blazer?
$27.80
This is an exclusive Forever 21 design and its eye catching as all get out!
People will definitely be asking where you got it!

What would look great with it?  I featured this tank, also from Forever 21,  in the college must have post earlier this week.
The neutral color really pops the coral pink.  Add a long gold necklace and you are ready to go!

Find some really great pants at a really great price at New York and Company.
They are having their semi-annual Pants Event right now… But 1, Get 1 Free!!

A few of my must-have favorites!!

The 7th Avenue Slim Ankle Pant in Plaid $49.95
The 7th Avenue City Double Stretch Slim Ankle Pant in Pink $46.95

Let me know what you find! And be sure to share this with your friends!
